Once you've set a cooking time the Öko timer works out when the heat should be switched off, using the hob's residual heat to finish the cooking. The clever OptiHeat control tracks the heat level of each zone allowing you to know if it's still hot enough to cook on. This premium AEG hob features further technologies which save energy and help you manage your cooking. The AutoMax feature reduces the heat to optimum temperature once it has reached boiling point and a Stop+Go function allows you to leave the hob with a keep warm' setting on - just press it again to resume to the selected heat settings. The AEG hob reaches the right heat as soon as the pan touches the hob, only heating the pan, and you can also adjust to the desired temperature instantly.

Keeping things safe The residual heat indicators display when the hob is still hot while an auto safety switch off will automatically cut out if the hob has been left on for a certain time.
